Swim Teacher
PREREQUISITES:
Candidates are required to have proficient swimming skills including the ability to perform survival strokes such as lifesaving backstroke and sidestroke.
AGE REQUIREMENT:
The minimum age for the Royal Life Saving Swim Teacher course is 16 years.
USI REQUIREMENT:
To enrol in this course Candidates must possess a Unique Student Identifier (USI). Click here to visit the USI site and register this with your Royal Life Saving Office.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT:
You have read and accept the terms and conditions outlined in the RLSSA Code of Practice and Privacy Notice.
Please Note: This Course consists of one or more Units of Competency and has performance measures which must be achieved.
If these measures are not met you will be deemed ‘Not Yet Competent’ (NYC), which means at the time of assessment you were not able to achieve the required outcomes of the Unit of Competency.
You will be asked to complete an NYC form which highlights the assessments you were deemed not yet competent in, the reason why and the chosen reassessment pathway.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:
Royal Life Saving Society NSW is not a CRICOS provider and are therefore unable to provide national training to overseas students holding a student visa.
By continuing with this enrolment‚ you are declaring you are not an overseas student holding a student visa.

- You will require writing material for note taking.
- Casual clothing is recommended as some practical assessments may be required on certain courses.
- Swimming costumes‚ a towel and dry clothes are required.
- Lunch and morning tea are not supplied and you should make arrangements for those meals.
