PREREQUISITES
Please note that there are no unit pre-requisites to enrolling into this course. This course format includes the issuing of HLTAID011 - Provide first aid for candidates who successfully complete all components of this course.
Participants wishing to complete this training are to be 16 years of age or turning 16 in the calendar within which the course is to be held to participate in this course.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT:
You have read and accept the terms and conditions outlined in the RLSSA Code of Practice and Privacy Notice.
Please Note: This Course consists of one or more Units of Competency and has performance measures which must be achieved.
If these measures are not met you will be deemed ‘Not Yet Competent’ (NYC), which means at the time of assessment you were not able to achieve the required outcomes of the Unit of Competency.
You will be asked to complete an NYC form which highlights the assessments you were deemed not yet competent in, the reason why and the chosen reassessment pathway. For further information please speak to the trainer delivering your course.
PRE-COURSE LEARNING:
Candidates are required to complete Online Learning in full, prior to attending the booked course.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:
Royal Life Saving Society NSW is not a CRICOS provider; it is unable to provide national training to overseas students holding a student visa.
By continuing with this enrolment‚ you are declaring you are not an overseas student holding a student visa.

A medium to high level of aquatic fitness is required for some practical components of the course. Candidates must also be able to perform at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on a resuscitation manikin placed on the floor. Candidates are required to have proficient swimming skills including the ability to perform survival strokes such as lifesaving backstroke and sidestroke.
There is a moderate to high level of reading and writing in this course. ACSF 3 language and reading level required. Candidates who experience language and/or literacy difficulties may identify and request additional learning support through the enrolment process.
